An official remake of the 1994 American film Forrest Gump, it stars Aamir Khan as the titular character and Kareena Kapoor as his love interest.
The film was officially announced on 14 March 2019 by Khan on the occasion of his birthday. The filming began on 31 October 2019 in Chandigarh. The film is scheduled to be theatrically released in India in 2020, on the occasion of Christmas. Laal Singh Chaddha is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama film directed by Advait Chandan, produced by Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao through Aamir Khan Productions along with Viacom18 Motion Pictures. An official remake of the 1994 American film Forrest Gump, it stars Aamir Khan as the titular character and Kareena Kapoor as his love interest.
The film was officially announced on 14 March 2019 by Khan on the occasion of his birthday. The filming began on 31 October 2019 in Chandigarh. The film is scheduled to be theatrically released in India in 2020, on the occasion of Christmas. Pritam and Amitabh Bhattacharya are composing and writing the music and lyrics of the film respectively.
